ReelChess is a Sydney based chess coaching company on a mission to change how chess is taught, experienced, and valued in Australia. We partner with schools, coach students online and in person, and are building the infrastructure that Australian chess has never had.

ReelChess was founded with a simple but ambitious goal — to build the chess infrastructure that Australia has never had. Not just a coaching service, but a structured system that gives students a genuine pathway from their first move to competitive excellence.
Founder Rayman Singh started playing chess at 11 and became Under 12 State Champion in just four months. That experience shaped his entire philosophy as a coach and became the blueprint for everything ReelChess does today.
What started as one coach working with local schools has grown into a team of expert coaches, programs running across 10 schools in NSW, and a platform being built to change how Australia approaches chess development entirely.

Every student follows a clear, progressive curriculum. No random lessons. Every session builds on the last.

Rayman Singh discovered chess at 11 years old and became Under 12 State Champion in just four months. That rapid progression through structured learning shaped his entire coaching philosophy.
With a 2300 online rating and over five years of coaching experience, Rayman built ReelChess from the ground up — driven by the belief that every student deserves access to the kind of structured, expert chess education that took him from beginner to champion in months.
Today Rayman leads a team of coaches, oversees programs across NSW, and is building the ReelChess Academy platform to extend that vision nationally and beyond.
