Where It
All Started.
ReelChess was founded in Sydney in 2023 by Rayman Singh, Under 12 State Champion, rated 2300+ online, and a coach who believed that serious, structured chess education was not accessible enough in Australia.
The idea was simple: take the quality of coaching that produces real players and bring it into schools and homes across the country. Not watered-down. Not a casual club. Structured, progressive, and genuinely effective.
What started as a small group of students quickly grew into a program partnering with over ten schools across New South Wales. The mission has not changed since day one: build strong chess players, and develop even stronger thinkers.

Rayman Singh
Under 12 State Champion in just four months of competitive play. Rated 2300 online. Rayman built ReelChess because he believed that the kind of coaching that produces elite players should be accessible to every student in Australia, not just those at expensive private schools.
His teaching approach is direct, structured, and genuinely demanding. Students learn not just moves, but how to think about the game, and about everything else.
Marcus Bolton
