Program Overview
The perfect first
chess class.
Beginner Online Chess is designed for children who are new to the game or still learning the basics. In a friendly, one-hour live session each week, our coaches teach chess from the ground up, starting with how the pieces move and building step by step from there.
The pace is gentle and the atmosphere is fun. Every child is encouraged, every question is welcomed, and no prior experience is needed. The goal is simple: for your child to enjoy chess and grow in confidence week by week.
Brand New to Chess
No experience needed. We start right at the beginning, so complete beginners are welcome and will fit in perfectly.
Learning the Basics
For children who know a little, perhaps how some pieces move, and want to properly learn the game in a supportive group.
Aged Around 6 to 10
Pitched and paced for younger players, with plenty of encouragement, guided play, and fun along the way.

Simple, Transparent Pricing
One term fee covers all nine weekly sessions, plus free Academy access and the weekly bonus tactical session. All prices include GST.

Each session follows a friendly, structured plan that takes children from the very basics through to playing full games with confidence. We keep it fun, hands-on, and encouraging, so learning never feels like hard work.
By the end of the term, beginners understand how every piece moves, know the core rules, can spot simple tactics, and can play a full game on their own.

All you need is a device with a camera and an internet connection. We use Zoom for the sessions and Chess.com for games. Both are free and easy to set up before the first class, and we send simple instructions beforehand.
