Beginner Online Chess – built for kids new to the game
A fun, supportive online class for children who are just starting out, whether they already know how the pieces move or are picking it up for the very first time. Our coaches teach the fundamentals step by step, at a pace that keeps young players engaged, confident and enjoying every session.
WHEN: Tuesdays, 4:45 to 5:45pm (live via Zoom)
STARTS: Tuesday 28 July 2026 (9-week term)
AGES: Ideal for beginners, roughly 6 to 12 years old
What’s covered:
How the pieces move and the rules of the game, basic tactics and checkmates, good habits and first strategies, and plenty of guided play, all taught in a way that’s fun and easy to follow.
Included with every enrolment:
– Free access to the ReelChess Academy for puzzles and practice at home
– The weekly bonus tactical session, live on Tuesdays 6:00 to 6:30pm

Please note: this class is designed for beginners. If your child is already an intermediate or advanced player, our Accelerated Online Training may suit them better. Just ask and we’ll help you choose the right fit.
At checkout you’ll be asked for your child’s name, age, and experience level so we can set them up and send the Zoom and Academy details before the first session.
